NEW YORK: 42nd Street and 8th Avenue met at the Continental Baths last night! In true Midler-style, "tacky" was the word, but it was glorious tack! Ronnie Spector, who, of course, comes right out of the '60s as lead singer of the Ronettes, who put away stardom and fame to marry her producer Phil Spector and live a life of luxury and seclusion for seven years in Hollywood, has re-emerged and is making a comeback with a new record on Buddah and a string of tour dates lined-up.
