IT'S A LITTLE-KNOWN fact, but D-grade celebrity oaf David Hasselhoff taught Regina Spektor English. After emigrating from Moscow to New York in the late 1980s, the young pianist and her family arrived in the Bronx with little grasp of the local tongue. It fell upon David Hasselhoff – in his role as Michael Knight in the cult 1980s TV series Knight Rider – to educate her.
