AFTER YEARS of slogging it out in any Seattle venue that would offer her a free meal in exchange for a music set, American songwriter Brandi Carlile is finally at the cusp of greatness. Given a helping hand by Grey's Anatomy's use of her stirring anthem 'The Story', the Washington native is now finding herself thrust into mainstream charts across the globe. While 'The Story' has been part of the Brandi Carlile setlist for a number of years, its move into popular culture hasn't yet made the singer tired of her signature single.
