WELCOME TO the Hotel Connaught, the plush old Mayfair institution where Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit are giving a press conference to launch a long film about the long run of the Eagles – or just plain Eagles, as frontman Frey always insisted they were called. This is not the Beverly Hills Hotel – the one on the cover of the Eagles' 1976 gazillion-seller Hotel California – but the Connaught is still an establishment befitting some of the wealthiest rock stars of all time. (Accompanying them on this Sundance Festival jaunt to London is Irving "the Poison Dwarf" Azoff, the miniscule manager who helped them amass that wealth.)
