The Teardrop Explodes: Kilimanjaro (Phonogram)

JUST LIKE Echo & The Bunnymen, the comparatively long period (just under two years) between The Teardrop Explodes' formation and the release of their first album has been only of benefit. They have learnt to play their instruments, to play together, and they have used their subsequent skill and confidence to construct songs that dance with simple pop melody, are clear and uncluttered, yet innovative.
