The Fatback Band: Fat 'n' funky sounds that set folks dancin'!

PERHAPS THE No 1 underground disco record of last year belonged to a New York based band called the Fatback Band. The record, of course, was 'Street Dance'. The record was never actually released in Britain but the amount of imports that found their way across the Atlantic would certainly have been enough to carry the record high into the British Soul charts. The record really is the personification of what a disco sound is all about.
