Fun-Da-Mental: Prohibition, London

Push, Melody Maker, 21 September 1991

FUND-DA-Mental's claim to be the British Asian version of Public Enemy isn't as daft as it sounds. The "Black Revolutionary Runnings" tee-shirts and the keyboard player's PLO hit-man headgear sure help make them look the part. His eyes blaze through the slit in the scarf and he spends most of his time throwing punches into the air. He apparently goes by the name of Prince Haq The Propa-Ghandi Machine. Which presumably means that he thinks he's Flavor Flav.
