Foghat, the Strawbs, Back Door: Academy of Music, New York NY

Dan Nooger, The Village Voice, 18 October 1973

BACK DOOR is Ron Aspery on saxes, flute, and keyboard, Colin Hodgkinson on bass and mouth, and Tony Hicks on drums. All experienced London session men, they retired to the Lion Inn, a pub in the desolate Yorkshire moors run by a former bass player named (right!) Brian Jones, to get the music they'd been hearing in their heads together.
