Fanny: Fanny Hill (Reprise 2058)

Metal Mike Saunders, The Rag, 13 March 1972

FANNY HAVE put out a totally consistent album that captures the spirit of 1964-5 rock coupled with the White Album Beatles/middle-period Badfinger instrumental sound. Considering the total mediocrity of Fanny's first two albums, Fanny Hill comes as nothing short of a shellshock. But they've done it: captured an ethos, a sound, and a distinct aura for themselves, with just this one album.
