Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick And Tich: Focus on BEAKY and DOZY

Keith Altham, New Musical Express, 20 May 1966

BEAKY (real name John Dymond) is the gaunt-faced rhythm guitarist with the group whose sinister looks contradict his "matey" nature. He has a fund of bawdy jokes and describes everything as "dead." Like: "dead boring," "dead interesting," "dead quiet" and "dead good." He likes to recall the times when things were not so good and looks forward to the times to come.
