Daniel Lanois: Royal Festival Hall, London

Adam Sweeting, The Guardian, 10 February 1990

BEST KNOWN for producing U2's The Joshua Tree and whipping up a little dust-storm of hipness around Dylan's Oh Mercy, Daniel Lanois is also a musician and songwriter of no little accomplishment. His first solo album, Acadie, slipped gratefully into a warm bath of critical approbation last year, while this performance at the Festival Hall drew a supportive crowd.
