THERE WAS a time, a time, almost four years ago now, when the young Cat Stevens would rush into a theatre, down a vodka, and don his customary black clothes almost en route to the stage. He was a frail figure that brought out the motherly love instinct in many a female (a thought he'd probably hate), as he stood alone hunched over his acoustic guitar.
