Burdon's America

Kevin Swift, Beat Instrumental, November 1966

IF YOU want to know why so many British artists return from the States and get disgruntled with their home scene, ask Eric Burdon. I met him as he dined on spaghetti after a preliminary work out for new numbers, and he talked a lot about the scene over there. But first I asked him how he felt and what frame of mind he was in. He smiled and said, "Well, I have been very confused lately. I've had so many things to think about and I also had a bit of trouble getting the tapes I made in the States back over here. Now I'm much happier."
