Brand New Heavies: Brixton Academy, London
Angus Batey, New Musical Express, 16 January 1993
THE STAGE is awash with reflected light from a dozen mirrorballs and the back wall is bedecked in enough gold lame to keep Moz in shirts till the turn of the millennium. A raised platform across the stage plays host to a percussionist and a brass section, who can saunter down the spiral staircases to the front when they fancy a quick solo and a burst of appreciation.
