Ace Records: Dealing Aces Vols. 1 and 2

Pete Wingfield, Melody Maker, 13 January 1979

THESE TWO volumes, together with the indispensable Huey "Piano" Smith and the Clowns collection in the same series (Ace CH 9) represent the first time that Johnny Vincent's Ace Records of Jackson, Miss., has had its catalogue, a treasure-store of Fifties New Orleans R&B, readily available in the U.K. since those halcyon days of the Sue label in the mid-Sixties.

Total word count of piece: 934
