Willie Deville's Organic Street Rock (the James Brown knee drops are killers)

Radio Pete, Rocky Mountain Musical Express, August 1977

MINK DEVILLE is a five man band whose guitarist, main writer, vocalist, and overriding consciousness is one Mr. Willy DeVille. Willy possesses that rare combination in a Seventies rocker of subtlety and bravado, which when coupled with his gut-wrenching vocal style, make for a potent and undeniable musical force. Simply, he is the most exciting white vocalist to emerge since Mitch Ryder stomped and pleaded his way to prominence with 'Sock It To Me' in 1965.
