Under the Influence — This Week: Bill Bruford of King Crimson

Ian MacDonald, New Musical Express, 27 January 1973

JOHN McLAUGHLIN: 'Pete The Poet'. From Extrapolation. Fantastic — well, that whole album is. Very fast, tight bop playing and some great drums from Tony Oxley. Engineered by Eddie Offord, funnily enough, and recorded in one evening. Pity it got lost completely when it was released, but maybe it'll be revived as a classic in 10 years or so.
