10. Terry Farley, Superstar House DJ
Terry was my Editor at Boys Own fanzine. He was a country bumpkin from Royal Berkshire but he had a certain charm about him and was a fellow soccer casual and DJ. I interviewed him online about a year ago and he named his favourite book as Bass Culture by my NME compadre Lloyd Bradley. This was also my go to music book about the major influence of black music in the UK. The thing that made me laugh out loud about that answer was that over the years Terry in my opinion seems to have got progressively more right-wing. He needs to read Bass Culture again methinks!
