ON STAGE, support band Burning Tree are exhibiting the mellow, melancholy side of heavy rock and hints of the pop-rock crossover potential that the Quireboys have perfected. In the Ladies, a group of girls old enough to be his daughters are singing a Rod Stewart medley. There's something of what the Quireboys do in both, but to look at the Quireboys in the same way would be to miss the point.
