A COUPLE of years ago some magazine (probably Cosmopolitan) ran a survey claiming that the average Manhattan love affair lasts three weeks. Three bloody weeks. You can't even cancel a TV show in three weeks, but this town messes up so badly the average couple meets-falls-in-love-breaks-up in just about that time span.
