The Boo Radleys: Learning To Walk

AT THE HEIGHT of The Scene That Celebrated Itself, The Boo Radleys — The Doo Badleys, as they were chucklingly known down The Syndrome — never quite fitted in. Three reasons: they weren't pretty (as they acknowledged on 'Wishing I Was Skinny'), they were from the Wirral, and, most crucially, they weren't signed to Creation or 4AD. Yet, all the time, I had a feeling that when it was over and the smoke cleared, they'd still be around.
