The Blackbyrds: Off to a flying start

IT'S CERTAINLY taken its time but the Blackbyrds' haunting 'Walking In Rhythm' has finally taken its rightful place in the British pop charts, having long been one of the country's best selling soul and disco sounds. In the States, it has already given the talented quintet their second consecutive gold record — and that can't be bad for a group who has had only two singles released.
