The Beatles: 'Paperback Writer'/'Rain' (Parlophone)

IT'S HARD to know what to say about either of these songs. One thing is certain: Ella Fitzgerald and all the gang of real singers will not be rushing off to record their cover versions. Real singers sing exclusively about love and the Beatles seem tired of such adolescent stuff.
