Robin Trower, John Miles: Free Trade Hall, Manchester

Pete Makowski, Sounds, 28 February 1976

USUALLY IT'S a case of 'they were okay considering it was their first night' blues. But with the Robin Trower band it's a whole different story. Since the bands inception Trower has shown himself to be a man of great determination, a man whose total belief in himself has taken this guitarist out of clubs into major venues within the release of three albums. Now with the release of a live album, the Trower band continue to forge ahead with an impressive start to a short British tour, confirming that there's still life in the 'abandoned, believed finished' world of the three-piece.
