Plastic Bertrand: Ça Plane Pour Moi (Sire)

Ariel Swartley, Rolling Stone, 2 November 1978

LIKE A pair of French jeans, Ça Plane Pour Moi is nonchalant and right as hell: an elegant and thorough misunderstanding better suited to the boulevard than the Street. But accuracy is what you fall back on when you don't have style — and that's not Plastic Bertrands problem. Call it parody (as he does) or call it missing the point, Ça Plane Pour Moi is a grand mésalliance.
