WE KNOW all about Peter of Peter and Gordon. We know he is the brother of Jane Asher who is the friend of the gifted Paul McCartney; we know how he went to Westminster School and wore spectacles and grew clever and was made a member of Mensa; and how he went on to London University to be cleverer still, and how he left temporarily to become the first English public schoolboy to top the Hit Parade. So much for Peter.
