RARELY HAS A single disc better traced one career's rise and fall. In 15 pre-stardom years of recording, Gilley could best be described as "like his cousin Jerry Lee Lewis but not as good". And even after he first hit paydirt with 'Room Full Of Roses', with a pedal steel that sounds all wrong but just perfect, he brought little different to the table.
