MEMPHIS SLIM would have played on all night had he not been due back in Paris earlier the following morning. For when the American pianist's ephemeral British visit took him to London's Festival Hall on Monday the audience cheered him back on stage four times at the end of two nostalgic and breathtaking sets ably titled "Slim's Story Of The Blues".
