NO ONE who ventured abroad in London on Wednesday night could have been in much doubt about the current health of the jazz scene. At Ronnie Scott's, absorbed for the week into the Soho Jazz Festival, a full house turned out to welcome McCoy Tyner, a pianist revered for his work with John Coltrane in the early 1960s.
