MARC RIBOT'S fretwork was perhaps the most startling feature of the Lounge Lizards. Almost buried beneath the brass-heavy bursts of occasional melody it worked against the 'fake' jazz aesthetic championed by the Luries with a riot of blues-based guitar motifs.
