Marc Ribot, Sonny Sharrock, Curlew, Bosho, Miracle Room: The Knitting Factory Tour, Queen Elizabeth Hall, London

Simon Reynolds, Melody Maker, 5 May 1990

THE KNITTING FACTORY is downtown New York's hip crucible of new music, where improvisers like John Zorn and Fred Frith play on the same bill (and sometimes in the same, one-off bands) and the more adventurous post-hardcore players (Blind Idiot God, Sonic Youth, Hugo Largo etc). As part of their world domination campaign, KF maestros Michael Dorf and Robert Appel have taken some of their regular bands on a tour of Europe.
