EVEN FOR A DRUMMER, Andy Burrows's timing really cannot be faulted. In 2009 he announced his departure from Razorlight just as their stock seemed to enter freefall. It must have seemed like a risk at the time, but 18 months on there cannot be too much to separate the group fronted by Johnny Borrell from Burrows's new band. Furthermore, Burrows can rely on a certain amount of goodwill from a world in which many impartial onlookers have stopped to wonder just how long any mortal being could survive Borrell's airs and graces.
