IT'S WEDNESDAY night at the Music Machine, the UK Subs are headlining and 1,100 raucous rapscallions have coughed up a couple of sovs a piece to see the show. I wanna know why and begin to push thru the clusters of spikey rodents with rainbow hair and red mutant eyes to pick out prospective interviewees from the sea of Xth generation punky gladrags, the flashbacks of torn t-shirts, blockhead bondage pants and badge-splattered catalogue Lewis Leathers that line the dance floor. Only the names of the groups have been changed from the '77 images these kids have plagiarised.
