THEY'RE PERHAPS the least rural-looking band to emerge in the last decade, but Brooklyn art rock superstars Yeah Yeah Yeahs found solace in the Texas countryside while assembling 2009's dynamic disco pop opus It's Blitz!. Partially recorded on a nut plantation bordering the Rio Grande near El Paso, drummer Brian Chase suggests the scenic surrounds were a fresh change from cramped New York studios.
