Wilson Pickett On African Soul

Roger St. Pierre, New Musical Express, 13 May 1972

WILSON PICKETT is back — as big and brash as ever, and if his press reception this past week at WEA Records (nee Kinney) is anything to go by then the music business at least is glad to have him back. George Harrison was there; so were Charlie Watts, and Duanne Allman's one-time manager Phil Walden, plus the usul bevy of pressmen, radio people and desirable femmes. I thought I spied Bill Wyman, too.
