Why Does Everybody Love Loving the Lovin' Spoonful?

Dawn James, Rave, July 1966

What is it about the Lovin' Spoonful — these crazy characters from New York's famous Village — that makes them go down so well? They're modest. Likeable. Perhaps it's the memories of humble beginnings that keep their feet planted firmly on the ground. RAVE's Dawn James went to find out what all the lovin' is about.
