ONE OF MY favourite memories of a life spent loitering in the company of musicians is of the time the Beastie Boys danced for me. I was in New York, the group's home city, to listen to Adam "Ad Rock" Horowitz, Michael "Mike D" Diamond, and Adam "MCA" Yauch talk about their new album, To The Five Boroughs. I was told by my editor to come home with a story about a group that had put away childish things.
