Wayne County & the Electric Chairs: Music Machine, London
Harry Doherty, Melody Maker, 14 October 1978
WEIRD IS the word that immediately springs to mind; the detached weirdness of viewing a transvestite play hard rock, of being part of an audience so obviously trapped in a time warp. Prejudices are rife. That I emerged from the Music Machine on Thursday night feeling quite fulfilled by the music I had just heard must, I suppose, signal some sort of a victory for Wayne County and the Electric Chairs.
