JOHN MILTON (1608-1674), probably ranked among England's top five poets, once said "For what can war, but endless war, still breed?" I don't think me and him are talking about the same kind of war, but the concept is there. War is (are) self-perpetuating. Our War (the friendly one) is substantiating old Milton's claim by regenerating out of the shambles of the last few years to 'do it' once more, in fine style.
