Vinyl Icon: The Police's Synchronicity

IN 1977, a virtually unknown trio called The Police recorded their debut album, Outlandos D'Amour, in a village hall that had been converted to a studio by a local doctor in the small English town of Leatherhead. For soundproofing, it had egg cartons stuck to the walls.
