"I AIN'T NO fashion plate," singer Vic Chesnutt conceded when asked about the price tag on the collar of his thrift-shop Western shirt. "I just didn't want to take the tag off," he explained in his peculiar, crooning drawl. "The last tag I took off I like cut my lip on the staple, so screw it, I'll leave it on."
