JUST THE other night I achieved a tiny slice of immortality when radio-jock Andy Kershaw played a 1960s Texan garage nugget of which he knows I'm rather fond, and he dedicated it to "Mat – I won't reveal the rest of his name cos he'd be embarrassed when I tell you he dances like a Tory Cabinet Minister at a Party Conference ball".
