LIKE EVERY fourth Sunday of the month, I showed up at Inglewood First Presbyterian Church early today to handle the sound system duties: setting up and positioning microphone stands on the chancel, uncoiling and connecting chords with microphones, testing mics, finding the pastor and getting him wired, setting levels on the console and prepping the cassette machine to record the service.
