From street-level upwards: white plimsolls, faded levis, fawn sweater with the collar-points of a white shirt peeking out at the neck; the whole megillah swathed in a serious-looking parka of sensible hue and topped off with a sandy dustbowl of curls trimmed to a sensible length.
