Todd Terry, T La Rock: Fridge, Brixton, London
Dele Fadele, New Musical Express, 6 May 1989
ONE MOMENT you're doubled up with paroxysms of laughter, the next you're seized with rhythmic convulsions. Suddenly, everything makes sense — Todd Terry isn't past his sell-by date after all, isn't trading on last year's admirable output. Even though the venture reeks of stalwart opportunism — he's got the temerity to spin his own cuts — there's an undercurrent of obstinate recalcitrance to the cavernous underground monster sound.
