U.S. teen pop trio Hanson led the charge, notching up three multi-platinum hits in Australia's top 20 singles of the year. Alternative rock behemoths Smashing Pumpkins didn't fare so well, with their single The End Is The Beginning Is The End earning the lowly 90th spot in the end of year chart.
