Time Of The Zombies

IT WAS JUST for fun, really. They weren't planning on becoming pop stars, yet the Zombies came close to reaching the top of the American charts in 1964 with their first single. Though they were one of the most interesting English groups of the '60s, their records didn't chart consistently and they split up in 1968. Their swan song, the Odessey And Oracle album, is a masterpiece of progressive '60s pop which went largely unnoticed.
