Throwing Muses: The Mayfair, Glasgow

Everett True, Melody Maker, 9 March 1991

THE GIRL flogging copies of Ablaze! fanzine by the door got it right first time as I stumbled out trying to cope with my feelings of elation and exhaustion and all those other magical words which begin with "e", trying to get a fix on just what the Muses hod done to me a few short minutes before. "How should we appreciate the Muses?" she asked, sympathetic to poor, befuddled me. "We should be dignified, we should be grateful. We should shout a lot". Damn right. Right now, I could kiss the world and make love to its dead. So let's shout!
