TRUTH TO tell, I think that reggae is a lost cause in Britain. It's an entirely popular music and unless it makes it from the streets on up, I think it will lose most of its essential qualities. During its first vogue in Britain it was the skins who took it off the blacks in clubs and made people aware that something was happening. But now suddenly the business has caught up and all things Jamaican are heavily in vogue (notably trips there). Which can only have a deleterious effect.
