The Streets: Colston Hall, Bristol
Stephen Dalton, The Times, 8 May 2006
FAME, ACCLAIM and sudden wealth can be terrible burdens for a young pop star. Such is the overriding theme of The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living, the newly released third album from Mike Skinner, aka the Streets. Perhaps it was the strain of trying to remain a people's poet after selling three million records and gorging on all the bacchanalian rewards of chart-topping success, but Skinner sounded bored and jaded for much of his uneven Bristol show on Thursday.
